If you are a charitable organisation or a not-for-profit group and planning an event in the general interest of the community, where entry is free to the public, we may be able to assist you promote it.  Please email details to media@mrtawa.org.au with CSA in the subject line; or ring the station office on 9227 5958 during office hours. Please attach an audio file where possible.

Like any other community radio station in Australia 6EBA relies largely on the efforts of our volunteers to maintain operations.  Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and volunteer for different reasons...

All volunteers once approved by Station Management are registered on the station's database.  The radio station premises both at North Perth and Maylands are secure sites and are private property, therefore all volunteers must be authorised by Station Management before entry is granted.  Volunteers must be attached to a program group and be active program producers and/or presenters to maintain their volunteering status.  Inactive volunteers are de-registered from time to time.

Volunteers are an invaluable resource to World Radio 6EBA-FM 95.3 and our primary aim is to encourage and support their contribution to our station. However, it is also recognised that there may be times when a volunteer needs to be counselled, disciplined and perhaps dismissed... read more

Receive a Copy of the Broadcasting Codes of Practice

What you hear on community radio is governed by the Community Radio Codes of Practice. The Codes of Practice cover matters relating to program content, including local content, news, current affairs, Australian music content, programs for children and the responsibilities associated with broadcasting to the community. They also cover aspects such as community access and participation in the operation of this service.

The Multicultural Radio & Television Association of WA Inc. celebrated another successful year of community radio broadcasting on the 23/10/2011 at its Maylands Annexe where the Annual General Meeting was held. We thank our members for taking the time to attend this very important AGM and for the overwhelming show of support given to the Chairman Nikola Nikolich J.P. for his many years of service to the Association and to the outgoing Council for its transparency and accountability.
