"The Scope" is a youth program produced by young people 18 to 30 years of age who come from a range of multicultural backgrounds. The program provides a great mentoring environment.  Young people interested in broadcasting can make application to join the team and be trained in the skills of broadcasting on radio.  If you are aged 18 to 30 and come from an ethnic background you are more than welcome to contact the radio station or email (attaching your CV) to youthrep@6eba.com.au

6EBA's youth program coordinator Araya Suwankam leads up the young broadcasters who, once trained are rostered in teams to do the show. Trained by the station's volunteer trainer Andrew Basinski, our young people have a perfect opportunity to learn the skills of radio from some of the best of the best senior people at the station. Andrew himself heads up the team producing the Polish program "Radio Kurier" which has been on the 6EBA air waves since 1986 when the station commenced broadcasting via the limited amount of airtime allocated to ethnic broadcasting in the early days by 6NR now Curtin Radio.

"The Scope" goes to air every Tuesday evening commencing 9:30pm.in English and features a multicultural theme. Tune your dial 95.3 on the FM band.  If you would like to ring in during the program, the talk back number is 08 9227 5953.

Guesting on the Program 2012

Farai Pasi, the 21 year old known by the artist name of Fizzle was born in Harare Zimbabwe. While attending school there his passion for writing raps and performing began. Fizzle moved to Perth in 2010 to study Mechanical Engineering where he continued to drive his passion for music. In 2012 he released numerous singles and covers such as All Tens, My Pledge, Ballin Like Swish and Retribution to name a few. In 2013 He plans on releasing his first E.P whose details are yet to be decided upon.

Born in 1993 in Port Hedland (WA) and from an unusual Filipino/American/South African heritage, JessLyn has always been surrounded by music. She has had professional singing lessons from the age of 9 and been involved in musical productions and bands from throughout her primary and secondary schooling.
In recent times, JessLyn has performed at weddings and local bars/pubs with her band ‘Coastal Kicks’, a local Perth band heavily influenced by soul/R&B music. She also attended WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) where she gained experience being part of a band. Since 2011, JessLyn took part in a lot of competitions: she participated to the Australian talent show XFactor 2011, where she reached the top 12 under 25’s girl division; the Summerbeatz Search for a Superstar competition and got as far as the final top 3, and finally she became in 2012 the official winner of the Supafest Search for a Superstar competition out of thousands and thousands participants.
She gained the opportunity to travel and perform alongside the likes of Chris Brown, Trey Songs, Kelly Rowland, Naughty by Nature, Big Sean and many more massive American artists.  Performing at all Supafest festivals around Australia she says it was nothing less then an unforgettable experience.
JessLyn is not only a singer: she takes any spare moment to write and compose her own music. Having worked alongside various rappers, DJs and producers to experiment and expand her music, she has proven herself to be a very versatile artist.
