Ehab Tawfik (Egyptian Singer), Soheir & Joe Kaldas
Overthe years we have interviewed so many local and overseas personalitieseither live in the studio or over the phone. We have even had ourfavourite Belly Dancer Tammy in the studio with us, a favourite of ourlisteners. Tammy tells us that it is the belly dancing that has kepther so fit to be able to fulfil her other duties as a working wife andmother.
| Today in the Studio June 2007 Producers Soheir Khalil-Kaldas and Joe Kaldas take time with their program guest belly dancer Tammy to take a photo with the Station Manager Helen. Tammy gave a live performance during the program to the delight of station visitors and guests. |
Once again Soheir Khalil-Kaldas Convener of Voice of Egypt Program and Joe Kaldas from the Middle East program had the pleasure to have the Lebanese singer Fares Karam live on air from 6EBA 95.3 FM On Friday the 21st November 2008. Fares came from Lebanon specially to have a one night show here in Perth at the Macedonian Centre in Balcatta. The Lebanese singer is well known to all Middle Eastern Communities. The interview was very successful on air with the singer wishing me a very happy Birthday and that made me very happy too, he was fantastic.
In the evening the party started with Perth Lialy Band followed by two of the best belly dancers in Perth. The stage was full with his own group of 12 musicians who came with him from Lebanon. Without notice the star of the show came onto the stage with almost every one jumping out of their seats with applause, and standing in front of the stage to dance and listen to his fantastic strong voice.
The star was shone on the stage. I felt like I was looking at this incredible huge unusual diamond in front of my eyes except it was not just a magnificent diamond but the diamond itself had such an incredible voice too.
If you were in my place you would think the same. He sang and sang until well after midnight. It was such a fantastic night it will be remembered for a very long time.
I believed the next singer coming from EGYPT is very well known too and I will be the only one granted an interview with him on air too.
If you tune to Voice of Egypt on Friday 1.30PM and Middle East programs on Saturday 1.00PM and 8.00PM on 6EBA 95.3FM you will know who my next popular guest is?
Cheers,
Soheir Khalil-Kaldas

After having on the show the Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfik and the Lebanese singer Faris Karam last year, I promised to let you know about the next singers coming to Perth to hold a one night concert.
Soheir Khalil-Kaldas convenor of Voice of Egypt program and Joe Kaldas convenor of the Middle East program have the great pleasure to invite to the show the most popular singer who came from Egypt to sing in Perth on Friday 24/04/09 at Grand Ball Room Burswood Casino, the handsome Hakim.
Hakim came to the 6EBA 95.3 FM studio for an interview, as I promised to our listeners.
Hakim came at 12.00 noon and he was fantastic as usual. He is the most popular singer who was invited to sing in 2006 at Oslo Norway at the Nobel peace party and that party was showing to 100 Countries. At least 450 Million people around the world were watching that event and he was chosen due to his excellent repetitions all over the world and his fantastic voice.
Hakim said in the interview that he was so proud and honoured as an Egyptian/Arab singer to be selected to sing on such an event. Two songs were selected by the people who organized that big event at that night.
To be honest, he is not the only one being proud. I also am proid as a bourn Egyptian of what he achieved not only in the Middle East but all over the world.
Hakim will have one concert in Perth and another 3 concerts in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. He is also preparing his new album and new film.
From the Voice of Egypt and the Middle East programs on 6EBA 95.3FM World Radio, we thank him and wish him fantastic concerts and a safe return back home.

The Voice of Egypt & Middle East Programs on 6EBA 95.3 FM World Radio have the pleasure to present the interview with Hakim.
