"EthnicAbility" Radio Show
Monday evening - 7:30pm to 8pm

The radio program is auspiced by member group, Ethnic Disability Advocacy Centre Inc. and produced by Zel Ischel who works at the Centre as a Systemic Advocacy and Projects Officer.

The program panel operator is Sanja Vuksanovic.

Producer Zel is very pro-active and as well as being blind herself heads up a team of keen enthusiasts who bring their guests to the station every week to give advice and information in an effort to help those listeners who may have a disability themselves, or have someone they know or someone in their family with a disability.

EthnicAbility explores issues affecting people with a disability from an ethnic background. Topics covered include:

  • Individual and systemic advocacy
  • The Disability First Stop Project
  • Guardianship of people with disabilities
  • Vicinity
  • And much much more.

We will be speaking to people with a disability from an ethnic background, service providers, carers, parents of children with a disability, and we may even talk to you !

So don’t forget to switch on to 95.3 6EBA FM every Monday evening at 7:30 - 8pm.

EDAC celebrates 100 shows of EthnicAbility

Tuesday 26th August 2008 saw celebrations happening in the 6EBA's Maylands studio as EthnicAbility went to air for their 100th show.

Program presenter and producer, Zel Ischel attended the  special event along with veteran radio personality Tony Serve and many others from the Ethnic Disability Advocacy Centre.

Executive Director of the Office of Multicultural Interets, Ellis Griffiths  and Minister for Multiculturalism, the Hon Ljiljana Ravlich also took part in the program.

Station Chairman Nick Nikolich and Maylands Training Coordinator  Dani Cinnamon were happy to see such a positive and friendly group of people.

Service awards were presented to Sanja Vuksanovic and Tony Serve for their involvement with the program.
 
EthnicAbility highlights issues that concern people with disabilities who come from an ethnic background.

The Multicultural Radio & Television Association of WA Inc. celebrated another successful year of community radio broadcasting on the 23/10/2011 at its Maylands Annexe where the Annual General Meeting was held. We thank our members for taking the time to attend this very important AGM and for the overwhelming show of support given to the Chairman Nikola Nikolich J.P. for his many years of service to the Association and to the outgoing Council for its transparency and accountability.
